A local answer to an out-of-town problem

Utica Asbestos Removal exists because of a strange gap in this market: a city with some of the oldest housing stock in New York and almost no dedicated local asbestos presence. The licensed companies that do this work here are mostly headquartered in Syracuse, Rome, or the Albany area. They're good at the work; they're just not easy to find, compare, or get on the phone when you've got crumbling pipe wrap and a renovation on hold.

So that's the job we do. We research which NYS-licensed abatement contractors and certified inspectors actually cover Utica, New Hartford, Whitesboro, Rome, and the surrounding towns — who's responsive, who quotes fairly, who does clean work with proper clearance testing and paperwork. When you send a project through, we line it up with a licensed pro covering your town, and they respond to you directly. The referral costs you nothing, ever.

How we vet providers

Before a referral goes anywhere, three checks happen: the provider's asbestos handling license or inspector certification is confirmed against NYS Department of Labor records; we verify they actively service the specific town in the request — not just "upstate" on a service-area map; and we set the response expectation directly with them. Providers who let referrals go cold or quote vaguely get dropped from rotation. It's not complicated — it's just the legwork most people don't have time to do while their renovation is on hold.

What we care about

• Verified licensing. Referrals go only to contractors and inspectors holding current NYS Department of Labor credentials — and every license is public, so verify it yourself before signing anything.
• Honest scoping. Sometimes the right answer is encapsulation, or covering intact tile, or leaving material alone entirely. You'll hear that when it's true.
